HONG KONG, June 7 (Xinhua) -- A Dragonair passenger plane carrying some 100 passengers had to return to Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) here Thursday after it reported " mechanical problem", the airline company and radio reports said.
The flight KA 720, with about 100 passengers aboard, landed safely at about 17:30 (0930 GMT) Thursday at HKIA, where it took off at about 16:00 (0800 GMT) for Changsha, capital of central China's Hunan Province.
The pilot of the flight reported at about 16:30 (0830 GMT) that the plane had encountered a "mechanical problem" that the destination Changsha airport couldn't handle with and he had to fly it back to Hong Kong.
No one was hurt during the process, according to the company, adding they had arranged 60 passengers to take another flight to Changsha.
