BEIJING, June 7 -- Chinese President Hu Jintao has arrived in Berlin, ahead of Friday's outreach session at the ongoing Group of Eight Summit.
On Thursday, Hu Jintao will attend a meeting with leaders from India, Brazil, South Africa and Mexico.
President Hu is expected to present Chinese proposals on several key issues, including how to fight climate change. After Germany, Hu Jintao will pay a state visit to Sweden.

Hu to enunciate propositions on climate change at G8
BEIJING, June 4 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Hu Jintao will present China's propositions on climate change at the upcoming outreach session of the G-8 Summit, Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Cui Tiankai said here Monday.
At the invitation of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Hu will attend the Summit held in Germany from June 6 to 8.
The Chinese government is serious about climate change and will handle the issue in a spirit of responsibility for human life, Cui told reporters at a press briefing on Hu's upcoming trip. Full story
