BAGHDAD, June 5 (Xinhua) -- Iraqi police found 33
bodies in execution-style in different neighborhoods of the capital Baghdad
Tuesday, an Interior Ministry source said.
"Our patrols collected 33 bodies during the past 24
hours in different neighborhoods of Baghdad," the source told Xinhua on
condition of anonymity.
The bodies were handcuffed, blindfolded and showing
signs of torture with bullet holes in different parts of their bodies, he said.
The daily gruesome finding of unidentified corpses continued in the capital despite more than three months into U.S. and Iraqi security offensive designed to curtail sectarian violence.
Car bomb kills 15 people in W Iraq's Fallujah
FALLUJAH, Iraq, June 5 (Xinhua) -- A car bomb went off at a busy market in a town near the restive city of Fallujah, 50 km west of Baghdad, killing at least 15 people and wounding 20 others, local police source said.
"A booby-trapped car detonated in a marketplace in the town of Amriyat al-Fallujah, 7 km south of Fallujah City, killing at least15 people and wounding 20 others," the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity. Full story
UNHCR: Iraqi refugee crisis continues to worsen
GENEVA, June 5 (Xinhua) -- More and more Iraqis are being displaced and seeking shelter in heavily-burdened neighboring countries as the world turns a blind eye to the crisis, the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) said Tuesday.
