JERUSALEM, June 3 (Xinhua) -- Israeli Prime Minister
Ehud Olmert vowed Sunday morning not to end a military offensive against the
Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip responsible for the firing of rockets
towards Israel.
Meanwhile, four Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers
were lightly to moderately wounded when Palestinian militants in Gaza fired four
mortar shells at the Erez Crossing, IDF spokesperson told Xinhua.
The injured soldiers were taken to Barzilai Medical
Center in Ashkelon for treatment.
The al-Quds Brigades, the Islamic Jihad (Holy War)'s
military wing, claimed responsibility for the rocket attack.
"The security forces will continue to act nonstop in
Gaza and the West Bank. No terrorists are immune," Olmert told the weekly
cabinet meeting in Jerusalem.
"These operations are producing results and will
continue so long as they contribute to the preservation of our security
interests and to the defense of the citizens of Israel," he added.
