WASHINGTON, May 29 (Xinhua) -- Two trains derailed in the United States on Tuesday, forcing hundreds of people to evacuate, but there were no reports of injuries so far, media reports said.

    Six cars, including five tankers, overturned when a train derailed in Conecuh County, in the southern U.S. state of Alabama, forcing the evacuation of about 200 people.

    Some of the tanker cars contained acetone, while others contained a more dangerous substance, phenol. News reports said one car appeared to be leaking a significant amount of phenol and another was leaking acetone.

    The sixth overturned car was a boxcar.

    In another development, at least 24 cars of a train derailed in Delaware, Ohio, a state in the U.S. Midwest.

    No hazardous materials were onboard the train, but nearby homes were evacuated as a precaution because of a leaking propane tank was found nearby.

    Investigations were underway to determine what had caused the trains to derail. ¡¡
