GAZA, May 22 (Xinhua) - Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas)slammed on Tuesday Arab nations that participated in the World Economic Forum (WEF) along with Israel, considering it part of normalization with the Jewish sate.

    "The WEF that was held in Jordan with Israeli participation comes after a series of ties normalization with Israel," the Islamic Palestinian faction said in a statement faxed to the press.

    The meeting of poor Arab nations with Israel show it as a peace partner and brings nothing for the Arabs in return, the statement added.

    The WEF wrapped up three days of meeting in the Jordanian side of the Dead Sea on Sunday.

    The conference was held amid Israeli military offensive targeting Hamas and Islamic Jihad (Holy War) in the Gaza Strip while Hamas fired home-made rockets to Israel.

    Hamas demanded the Arab countries to lift Western sanctions on the Islamic group that took over the Palestinian government last year after a landslide victory in parliamentary elections.

    In order to bring the Palestinians out of the embargo, Hamas formed a coalition government with the moderate Fatah this February but soon after that fell into infighting again with Fatah.
