U.S. President Bush meets Chinese Vice-Premier Wu Yi

    WASHINGTON, May 24 (Xinhua) -- U.S. President George W. Bush met Thursday morning at the White House with Chinese Vice-Premier Wu Yi, who led a Chinese high-level delegation for the second meeting of China-U.S. Strategic Economic Dialogue (SED).

China-U.S. economic dialogue enhances understanding, produces tangible results 

    WASHINGTON, May 23 (Xinhua) -- High-level economic officials from China and the United States wrapped up a two-day strategic dialogue here on Wednesday and both sides agreed that the talks have enhanced mutual understanding with much consensus and a wide variety of tangible results.

    The Second Meeting of U.S.-China Strategic Economic Dialogue (SED), co-chaired by Chinese Vice Premier Wu Yi and U.S. Secretary of Treasury Henry Paulson, was held against the background of rapid growth of bilateral trade and rising protectionism in the United States.  Full story

    WASHINGTON, May 21 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice-Premier Wu Yi arrived in Washington Monday morning to co-chair with US Secretary of Treasury Henry Paulson the second meeting of the Strategic Economic Dialogue (SED) scheduled to begin Tuesday.
