URUMQI, May 15 (Xinhua) -- Military experts from Shanghai Cooperation Organization
(SCO) member nations started their fourth round of talks on the
upcoming military exercise on Tuesday in Urumqi, capital of Northwest China's
Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
The anti-terrorism drill, dubbed "Peace Mission 2007 ", is to stage in
August in Chelyabinsk of Russia's Ural Mountains region and involves the six SCO
members, namely, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and
Uzbekistan.
Zhang Qinsheng, deputy chief of the General Staff of the Chinese
People's Liberation Army, hosted the consultations. The four-day consultations will
focus on the general scenario of real-troop exercise, logistics and
military transportation.
