WARSAW, May 11 (Xinhua) -- The main goal of Polish foreign policy is to ensure its security, including energy security, Poland's Foreign Minister Anna Fotyga said Friday.

Addressing the lower house of Polish parliament, Fotyga said energy security is a "flagship" of Polish foreign policy.

"We are against any initiatives that threaten Poland's energy security. We are aiming at diversification of energy supplies and at stable deliveries of raw materials and safe sources," Polish PAP news agency quoted Fotyga as saying.

Talking about the U.S. anti-missile shield in Poland, Fotyga said the Polish government has interest in starting talks on deploying the U.S. anti-missile shield in Poland.

She also said Poland supports an open-door policy in NATO and pragmatic cooperation with partner countries, including Russia.

"Unfortunately Poland's relations with Russia do not meet our expectations and aspirations," the minister said, adding that "patience and far-reaching vision' are necessary to improve them. กก
