BEIJING, April 24 -- The 60th Cannes Film Festival will
open May 16 with Wong Kar-wai's first English-language project, My Blueberry
Nights, which will play in competition, festival organizers have announced.
This is the first Hong Kong-produced film to be invited to
open Cannes.

BEIJING, April 13 -- China Film Group has selected six
Chinese movies for the upcoming Cannes Film Festival that is due to show up in
mid May. The candidate Chinese movies include "The Knot", "Tokyo Trial" ,"Love
in The City" and three others.
May 16, this year marks the 60th anniversary of
Cannes Film Festival, which is expected to boast a more star-studded lineup and
film competitors.
