MADRID, May 6 (Xinhua) -- Fabio Capello, who manages Spanish soccer giant Real Madrid, said Sunday that his team had shown great team spirit in their 3-2 victory over local league rival Seville.

The result means that Madrid takes the number two league position from Seville, which is now in number three.

"The players played a perfect game. Seville is a great team: physically strong, tactically smart and a very difficult rival. Wewon with quality play, lots of enthusiasm and team spirit, which has been very important."

Capello said that the second half was "spectacular, with quality, pace and enthusiasm: very, very good".

Guti, who came on as a substitute replacing captain Raul Gonzalez, "can always play. His quality is not in discussion" adding that in the last three games his presence had really made a difference.

Guti set up three goals in the space of 24 minutes, two for leading striker Ruud van Nistelrooy and one for Brazilian forward Robinho.

However, Capello highlighted changes elsewhere: "The key change was putting Cicinho on the left flank, where they were having problems and Romos on the right, where strength was a little lacking."

Capello said he treats every Madrid game as a final, and that he is now focused on the next game against Espanyol; having watched the team play Atletico Madrid, he is certain it will not be an easy rival.

Juande Ramos, Seville's manager, said that his team had not lost the competition, but had lost an important chance against a direct rival.

"There are still 15 points left to play -- five games -- and we have to fight with all our strength to get to the top. We know how difficult it is because we now have both Barcelona and Madrid ahead of us. But we have to keep the hope of a victory in the next game".
