NAIROBI, May 5 (Xinhua) -- Kenya Airways says it has lost contact with a 737-800 aircraft taking off from Doualas, Cameroon early Saturday.
"The last message from the aircraft was received by the control tower in Douala immediately after take-off," Kenya Airways said ina press release posted on its Web site -- www.kenya-airways.com.
The flight departed Douala at 12:05 a.m. and was to arrive in Nairobi at 06:15 a.m, it said.
The Kenya Airway press release said the airline has opened a crisis management center to monitor the situation and that "additional details will be provided when received."
