BANGKOK, April 30 (Xinhua) -- A bomb attack in
Thailand's restive southern province of Pattani on Monday night killed two
people and wounded at least 20 others, media here quoted police assaying.
The bombing occurred in Pattani's Muang district
(provincial seat), the Bangkok-based newspaper Thairath reported on its website.
Of the injured, four were in serious condition, the report said.
Meanwhile, news network The Nation said suspected
militants concealed the explosives in a motorcycle and parked it in front of a
restaurant in the district and the bomb went off at about 9 p.m.(1400 GMT) as
people were shopping for food at the restaurant and nearby
shops.
