PARIS, April 23 (Xinhua) -- France has just concluded the firstround of its presidential vote with conservative candidate NicolasSarkozy and Socialist Segolene Royal entering the second round.
Following is the final results released by the French Interior Ministry on Monday after 100 percent of the domestic vote counted:
Nicolas Sarkozy (Union for a Popular Movement): 31.11 percent;
Segolene Royal (Socialist Party): 25.84 percent;
Francois Bayrou (Union for French Democracy): 18.55 percent;
Jean-Marie Le Pen (National Front): 10.51 percent;
Olivier Besancenot (Revolutionary Communist League): 4.11 percent;
Philippe de Villiers (Movement for France): 2.24 percent;
Marie-George Buffet (French Communist Party): 1.94 percent;
Dominique Voynet (The Greens): 1.57 percent;
Arlette Laguiller (Workers' Struggle): 1.34 percent;
Jose Bove (anti-globalization activist): 1.32 percent;
Frederic Nihous (Hunting, Fishing, Nature, Tradition party): 1.15 percent;
Gerard Schivardi (Workers' Party): 0.34 percent.
Voter turnout: 84.60 percent.
Invalid votes: 1.44 percent.
