GAZA, April 19 (Xinhua) - The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) Thursday denied reports that it had agreed with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on an inclusive truce with Israel.

Hamas spokesman Ismail Radwan said that there was nothing new in the issue of the ceasefire.

"We can't talk on renewing or expanding the calm if the Israeli enemy doesn't stop its attacks in the Gaza Strip and West Bank," added Radwan.

Nabil Amr, an advisor to Abbas, has reportedly said that the Palestinian president agreed with the factions to halt rocket attacks against Israel.

Meanwhile, Israeli media also reported that Abbas had reached the same deal with the Islamic Jihad (Holy War) which kept up firing the rockets despite the November ceasefire.

But the report also was denied by the Islamic Jihad.
