One victim of worst U.S. shooting rampage identified

    WASHINGTON, April 16 (Xinhua) -- One victim of the shooting rampage at Virginia Tech at Blacksburg, Va., Monday morning, has been identified, U.S. media reported.

    Ryan "Stack" Clark, a student of the university, was shot in the neck in West Ambler Johnston Hall where the gunman started his rampage, according to the Roanoke Times, a newspaper located near Blacksburg.

    It is not clear whether Clark died at the scene or at the hospital and an autopsy will be conducted by a medical examiner in Roanoke, Va..

    All together, 33 people were killed in the shooting, the deadliest throughout U.S. history, including the gunman himself.

    However, all dead except Clark have not been identified.

    The police are expected to release identities of victims and the gunman as early as Tuesday.
