Journalists demonstrate for BBC
Johnston in Gaza
GAZA, April 12 (Xinhua) -- A convoy of media cars drove
through Gaza city on Thursday alongside journalists calling for the release of
the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC)'s correspondent Alan Johnston who was
abducted by unknown gunmen in Gaza a month ago.
The rally started at the Unknown Soldier Park in the
city where the journalists have set up a demonstration tent two weeks ago.

BBC correspondent kidnapped in Gaza
BEIJING, March 13 (Xinhuanet) -- A BBC correspondent was
abducted in the Gaza Strip on Monday by unknown assailants, news reports said
Tuesday.
Police identified the journalist as Alan Johnston, who has
been the BBC's correspondent in Gaza for three years. Full story
Abbas, Haneya agree on plan to free BBC

GAZA, April 5 (Xinhua) -- Palestinian President Mahmoud
Abbas,who is currently in Gaza announced on Thursday that he had agreed with
Prime Minister Ismail Haneya on a plan to free a captive British Journalist in
Gaza.
Alan Johnston, 44, a reporter for the BBC Radio in
Gaza was abducted 25 days ago by unknown Palestinian gunmen. No one has claimed
responsibility and there is no exact news on his whereabouts. Full
