MEXICO CITY, April 13 (Xinhua) -- Mexican soccer club Necaxa wants to contract
Brazilian soccer star Romario Souza Faria to reinforce its game in Copa
Libertadores' second phase, club president Javier Perez Teuffer said Friday.
Romario is one of the options for Necaxa, therefore
its directives seek to talk with him to establish his wages and other demands,
said Perez Teuffer after his arrival to Mexico City's International Airport
(MCIA).
Los Rayos de Necaxa arrived Thursday night to MCIA
after losing2-1 against Audax Italiano in Chile in their last game of Copa
Libertadores' Group Five.
The Brazilian soccer star seeks his 1,000th career
goal, so besides reinforcing the Mexican club in the second phase, Perez Teuffer
wants the champion of the World Cup 1994 to accomplish his goal in Mexico.
Necaxa's president said they will manage to pass to
the second phase, and to do so they must defeat Peru's Alianza de Lima on April
25 at the Victoria stadium in the central Mexican state of Aguascalientes.
