Carter and Kidd procure triple doubles to beat Wizards

    WASHINGTON, April 7 (Xinhua) -- Vince Carter and Jason Kidd became the first team mates for 18 years to put out triple doubles in the same game, leading the New Jersey Nets to a 120-114 overtime win over the Washington Wizards on Saturday.

    Carter scored 46 points and had a career-high 16 rebounds and 10 assists for his third career triple double, and Kidd earned his86th with 10 points, 16 rebounds and 18 assists.

    Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen of the Chicago Bulls were the last team mates to pull off triple doubles in the same game, in 1989.

    Richard Jefferson added 27 points for the Nets, who beat a Washington club without All-Stars Gilbert Arenas (knee) and Caron Butler (hand). Antawn Jamieson led the Wizards with 37 points, including a game-tying 3-pointer with 1.1 seconds left, and 11 rebounds. Jarvis Hayes scored 29 points.

    Tim Duncan scored 28 points and added 15 rebounds and four blocked shots to carry San Antonio to a 112-99 win over Golden State that snapped the Warriors' four-game winning streak.

    New York's Eddie Curry forced overtime with a buzzer-beating 3-pointer, his first of the season, and finished with a career-high 43 points and 13 rebounds to help the injury-riddled Knicks beat Milwaukee 118-113.

    Dwight Howard had 31 points and 11 rebounds to lead Orlando to a 116-89 home win over Memphis, moving the Magic closer to a playoff berth.

    Rashard Lewis scored 28 of his 35 points in the second half as Seattle rallied from 22 points down to beat Utah 106-103.
