    JAKARTA, April 7 (Xinhua) -- A 29-year-old Indonesian man Thursday died of bird flu after coming into contact with infected chickens near his home, a health ministry official said Saturday.

    Local laboratory tests confirmed early Saturday that he had contracted the H5N1 virus.
