BANGKOK, April 5 (Xinhua) -- Thai southern insurgents triggered a bomb planted in front of a military draft center in southernmost province of Narathiwat of Thailand on Thursday morning, injuring at least one soldier, a local military source told Xinhua.
The bomb exploded at about 08:00 a.m. local time in Ba Cho district of Narathiwat, the source said, adding that the insurgents hidden nearby triggered the bomb by mobile phone signal while they saw some soldiers walking into the draft center.
Narathiwat, Yala and Pattani are the three southern provinces of the country plagued with violence related to an ongoing insurgency which has claimed more than 2,000 lives since early 2004.
