Iran's president gives medal to commander who arrests British "trespassers"  

    TEHRAN, April 4 (Xinhua) -- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Wednesday awarded a medal to the commander who led the mission to arrest "trespassers."

Iran's president says to free 15 British naval personnel

    TEHRAN, April 4 (Xinhua) -- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad announced in a press conference on Wednesday that Iran had decided to free the 15 British naval personnel.

    "While we insist on our rights, the 15 sailors have been pardoned and we offer their freedom to the British people," Ahmadinejad told a news conference in Tehran, broadcast live on Iranian television.  Full story

Iran warns UK not to choose "hue and cry" attitude on sailors issue

    TEHRAN, April 3 (Xinhua) -- A top Iranian official warned on Tuesday that the sailors detention issue would not be resolved in the near future if the British government continues to make "hue and cry", the Iranian semi-official Fars news agency reported.

    The country's First Vice President Parviz Dawoodi made the remarks on the sidelines of the inauguration of the back up systems of Bushehr nuclear power plant when answering questions from various reporters.  Full story
