¡¡JERUSALEM, April 1 (Xinhua) -- Israeli Attorney General's Office announced Sunday that President Moshe Katsav would be indicted on a second rape count after a former employee filed a new complaint of sexual harassment against him with the police.

Katsav was questioned by police last week after one of his former employees, during his time as Tourism Minister, known as A, submitted fresh evidence that he had raped her more than once, local daily Ha'aretz reported.

The new complaint came in the midst of Katsav's appeal to the Attorney General to reverse his decision to indict him on rape charges.

Katsav's attorney Zion Amir argued the complainant, who originally said she was not raped at all by the president, has changed her version of events a number of times since the investigation began, rendering her testimony unreliable.

A final decision on whether to indict the president will be made following a hearing on the matter on May 2, during which Katsav will be given an opportunity to respond to the accusations.

Katsav was temporarily suspended in January following Attorney General Menachem Mazuz's decision to charge him with sexual crimes, including rape.
