BEIJING,
March 28 (Xinhua) -- Two Hollywood movies, Teenage Mutant Nanja Turtles and
Shooter, will be released in China in May after receiving approval from the
State Administration of Radio Film and Television.
TMNT are no stranger to Chinese audiences, especially
those under the age of 30. The justice-fighting turtles have been shown on
Chinese television and featured in computer games for years.
The producers, Warner Bros., is hoping for big box
office results in China after hiring Chinese star Zhang Ziyi to provide the
voice for one of the characters.
The action flick Shooter, tells the story of a U.S.
army sniper who gets into trouble with his government.
Two other Hollywood movies are also hoping to hit the
Chinese market in May. Spiderman 3 and Pirates of the Caribbean 3 are hoping to
receive approval from the state administration by mid-April.
