JAKARTA, March 28 (Xinhua) -- The death toll of bird flu has risen to 68
out of 89 cases in Indonesia after two people died of the deadly disease, an
official at the Health Ministry said here on Wednesday.
"The test result of a 15-year boy from Indramayu of West Java died on
Sunday and a 22-year-old woman from Palembang of South Sumatra died on Saturday
are all positive," Nyoman Kandun, a director at the Ministry told Xinhua by
telephone.
And the test result of a 39-year old man from Mojokerto of EastJava was
also positive, but he is still alive, he said.
Meanwhile, the initial test result of another woman, 28, was also positive,
but a second test is underway. The woman is living in Jakarta, he added.
