BAGHDAD, March 27 (Xinhua) -- At least ten people were killed and 25 others wounded on Tuesday in a suicide car bomb attack near a restaurant along a main road north of Ramadi City, 110 km west of Baghdad, Qatar-based al-Jazeera news television reported.

The blast targeted an area where local tribes have been fighting against al-Qaida, which waged indiscriminate and deadly attacks in the western province of Anbar in recent months.

Earlier, the Iraqi official television, al-Iraqia, said that two suicide car bombs struck the home of Sheikh Thahir al-Dari, head of the Sunni Zobaa tribe, and member of an alliance of tribes formed to fight the al-Qaida in Iraq's western province of Anbar.

Iraqi police confirmed the incident and said several people, including son of the tribal leader, were killed, but could not provide further details on the casualties.
