MOSCOW, March 27 (Xinhua) -- Visiting Chinese
President Hu Jintao and Russian President Vladimir Putin took part in the
opening ceremony of the Chinese National Exhibition in Moscow on Tuesday.
During the ceremony, Hu and Putin spoke highly of the
all-round cooperation between the two countries and pledged to push forward the
Sino-Russian strategic partnership.
The exhibition, one of about 200 events marking the
"Year of China in Russia", is the biggest comprehensive show China has held
outside the country in almost three decades, according to officials of the
Chinese Commerce Ministry.
During Hu's visit to Russia in July 2005, China and
Russia agreed to host the "Year of Russia in China" in 2006 and the "Year of
China in Russia" in 2007.
Among the participants in the exhibition are about
200 companies and other entities from different parts of China, including Hong
Kong and Macao.
Hu arrived in Moscow on Monday for a three-day state
visit to Russia and held talks with Putin and attended the opening ceremony of
the "Year of China in Russia" later in the day.

promote the Sino-Russian strategic partnership of cooperation.
Since the two countries forged the strategic
partnership of cooperation 10 years ago, bilateral cooperation in various fields
