RIYADH, March 26 (Xinhua) -- Foreign ministers of the 22-member Arab League (AL) held meeting in Riyadh on Monday, preparing for the 19th Arab summit due to be held here on March 28-29.
AL chief Amr Moussa told the meeting at the Conferences Palace that security in the Middle East region will be high on agenda of the coming summit.
During their two-day preliminary meeting, the foreign ministers are expected to discuss issues such as Iraq, Lebanon and Arab peace initiative and will submit their decisions and recommendations to the forthcoming summit for adoption.
Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs Lam Akol, whose country hosted the last Arab summit in Khartoum, also addressed the ministerial meeting.
