BEIJING, March 26 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Hu
Jintao left here on Monday morning to pay a three-day state visit to Russia at
the invitation of his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
During the visit, President Hu will attend the
opening ceremony of the "Year of China" in Russia.
The Year of China in Russia is a reciprocal event to
the Year of Russia marked in China last year. Both events were agreed upon
during President Hu's visit to Russia in July 2005.
The Year of China in Russia will stage some 200
activities to enhance exchanges and understanding between the two countries in
various areas.

BEIJING, March 25 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President
Hu Jintao spoke highly of China-Russia relations before his upcoming Russia
visit, saying his visit would achieve substantial fruits.
Hu made the remarks on Tuesday when meeting
with the journalists from Russian media in advance of his Russia visit, which
lasts from March 26 to 28. Xinhua was authorized to release the content of the
interview on Sunday.
BEIJING, March 25 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President
Hu Jintao said ahead of his upcoming visit to Russia that China-Russia trade
would reach 60 billion to 80 billion U.S. dollars by 2010.
"I believe the trade volume of the two countries would
surely meet the target of 60 billion to 80 billion U.S. dollars by 2010 with
deepening bilateral strategic partnership of cooperation," Hu told Russian
journalist on Tuesday.
