TOKYO, March 25 (Xinhua) -- An aftershock with magnitude of 5.3 on the Richter scale rocked Ishikawa prefecture of central Japan on Sunday afternoon, following a strong quake in the region earlier in the day.
According to Japan Meteorological Agency, the aftershock occurred at 6:11 p.m. (0911 GMT), rocking Wajima city, Ishikawa prefecture and nearby regions. No tsunami warning was issued as to the quake.
On Sunday morning, a strong earthquake with a magnitude of 6.9 jolted Sea of Japan coast area of central Japan's Hokuriku region, killing at least one person and injured over 100.
