    The province has produced a number of heroes throughout history, who are highlighted in the "Historical Celebrities of Heilongjiang".

    This part of the series is composed of two books, which introduce 44 historical figures from ancient times and 35 famous modern historical personalities. Among them are emperors, generals, scholars and writers.

    Further, while the "Places of Interest of Heilongjiang" introduces 44 historical sites, the "Cities in Heilongjiang" highlights the development of 29 cities.

    As a reader said, cities, whether ancient or modern, deserted or flourishing, are like mirrors, reflecting the advance of history.

    The last part of the series is entitled "Products of Heilongjiang" and deals with information on traditional food and handicrafts.

    "After reading the series, I have a deeper understanding of the province," said a reader.
