MOSCOW, March 21 (Xinhua) -- Death toll of the fire at an elderly's home in
Russia rose to 63 after a seriously-injured old woman died on Tuesday night, the
Interfax news agency reported on Wednesday.
The Interfax quoted a spokeswoman for the Krasnodar regional emergency
situations ministry as saying that "a 66-year-old woman died of a heart attack
after being hospitalized."
The fire destroyed the two-storey nursing facility in southern Russia early
Tuesday, killing 62 people on the spot and injuring 30 others.
The Interfax reported that the other 29 injured people remained in stable
condition and the bodies of 44 victims had been identified.
Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered a national day of mourning for
Wednesday to commemorate those killed in the fire and in two other tragedies:
a Tu-134 plane crash at an airport in Samara that killed six people on
Saturday and a coal mine explosion in Siberia that killed 107 on Monday.

MOSCOW, March 20 (Xinhua) -- Russia on Tuesday declared a day of nationwide mourning for more than 170 people killed in a mine blast, a fire at a nursing home and a plane crash , which have occurred in the past four days in the country.
President Vladimir Putin declared Wednesday a day of mourning in Russia to "express sorrow for the dead and offer condolences to their families," the Kremlin said in a statement.
The national flag is to be flown at half-mast and entertainment events are to be canceled on television, radio and at other cultural establishments, the statement said.
Russian mine blast toll rises to 107
MOSCOW, March 21 (Xinhua) -- The death toll of the Monday mine blast in Siberia has increased to 107, the Itar-Tass news agency reported on Wednesday.
The search for the last three missing miners is continuing, and 26 bodies of miners have been identified among the 107 who were killed in the methane gas explosion at the Ulyanovskaya mine in Novokuznetsk, a city in the Siberian region of Kemerovo state, governor Aman Tuleyev said.
The governor ruled out human error as a possible cause for the disaster.
At least 30 people killed in Russian fire
MOSCOW, March 20 (Xinhua) -- A fire in a retirement home killed at least 30 people early on Tuesday in southern Russia, the Interfax news agency quoted local officials as reporting.
The fire, which also injured 27 others, broke out in Kamyshevatskaya village in the Kuban region.
A total of 93 people were staying at the facility when the fire broke out.
