BEIJING, March 20 (Xinhua) -- Chinese shares opened higher on Tuesday. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index opened at 3,024.78points, up by 10.34 points, or 0.34 percent.

    The index, which tracks both yuan-denominated A shares and hard-currency B shares traded on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, closed at 3,014.44 points on Monday.
