BEIJING,
March 18 (Xinhua) -- Chief negotiator of the Republic of Korea (ROK) Chun Yung
Woo said on Sunday the frozen funds of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea
(DPRK) are expected to be resolved soon.
Chun made the remarks after an-hour-long meeting on
the denuclearization working group in Beijing.
The denuclearization working group started its first
meeting on Saturday at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing.
The ROK will provide the heavy oil to the DPRK if the
DPRK shuts down the nuclear facilities and accepts the nuclear inspectors, Chun
told a press briefing on Sunday afternoon.
The Sunday' s meeting did not touch upon substantial
issues, Chun said.
BEIJING, March 18 (Xinhua) -- The chief U.S. negotiator to the six-party talks
Christopher Hill on Sunday evening said that all the delegations finished the
denuclearization working group meeting and everyone has positive feel on that.
Hill said all the delegations will assess the work of all
the working groups in the sixth round of the six-party talks on Monday.
BEIJING, March 17 (Xinhua) -- The Democratic People's
Republic of Korea (DPRK) told negotiators it has started preparations for
shutting down the Yongbyon nuclear facilities, chief negotiator of the Republic
of Korea Chun Yung Woo said here Saturday.
The DPRK side talked about the start during a meeting of
the denuclearization working group of the six-party talks, which started on
Saturday morning in the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, Chun said.
