Special report: Iran Nuclear Crisis
MOSCOW, March 17 (Xinhua) -- Russia is satisfied with
the work of the six powers on a new draft resolution on tougher sanctions
against Iran, but does not view the current draft as final, Foreign Ministry
spokesman Mikhail Kamynin said on Saturday.
"We are satisfied that the six powers were able to
work effectively on the new draft resolution and perform the duties they assumed
at the latest meeting in Berlin," Kamynin was quoted by the Interfax news agency
as saying.
The reactions of other UN Security Council members to
the draft must now be heard, he said.
"We proceed from the fact that the six powers'
version is not the final draft. That is, we are ready to continue the discussion
on this draft with the other members of the UN Security Council," he said.
Britain, China, France, Germany, Russia and the
United States reached agreement on a draft UN Security Council resolution on
Thursday, imposing tougher sanctions against Tehran on its unyielding nuclear
ambitions.

over its nuclear program on Thursday as six world powers reached agreement on a
