Talks on sanctions against Iran make progress

    UNITED NATIONS, March 12 (Xinhua) -- Consultations on the new Security Council draft resolution against Iran seemed making progress, UN diplomats said Monday.

    Ambassadors from the six countries, including the United States, Russia, China, Britain, France and Germany, met again Monday afternoon at the UN Headquarters in New York on the elements of the draft resolution imposing sanctions on Iran against its unyielding nuclear program.

U.S. discusses Iran sanctions with other countries

    WASHINGTON, March 12 (Xinhua) -- The United States said Monday that it discusses the issue of Iran sanctions with other major countries over the weekend to try to resolve differences among them.
