KATHMANDU, March 12 (Xinhua) -- More than 35 are injured during a clash between students and Madhesi People's Rights Forum (MPRF) in Nepal's south Terai Sunsari district on Monday.

In Inaruwa of Sunsari district, some 220 km southeast of capital Kathmandu on Monday, the clash occurred after MPRF (also called Madhesi Janadhikar Forum) activists attacked a students' rally opposing the general strike called by MPRF. Students in the rally demanded educational institutions be allowed to reopen.

The Sunsari district government later issued an indefinite curfew order in Inaruwa municipality area from 11:30 (05:45 GMT).

MPRF launched discontinuous protests mainly in southern Nepal'sTerai region since Jan. 16, claiming the Madhesi people's rights are not fully guaranteed in the Interim Constitution promulgated on Jan. 15.

Madhesi people are always referred to the people mainly living in Nepal's south Terai plains with Indian origin.
