LONDON, March 7 (Xinhua) -- Manchester United suffered a blow before Wednesday's
Champions League match with Lille as their French striker Louis Saha and
midfielder Darren Fletcher will both miss it due to injury.
Saha was injured in training on Tuesday morning, while Fletcher's ankle
injury, which was picked up last week against Reading, will sideline him for at
least two months after a scan showed ligament damage worse than first thought.
"Louis was injured in training and was sent for a scan and won't be fit
although we are not yet sure exactly what the injury is," manager Alex Ferguson
told a news conference at Old Trafford on Tuesday ahead of the last 16 second
leg match.
United have a 1-0 lead after their contentious victory in the first leg
in France two weeks ago.
