DHAKA, March 7 (Xinhua) -- The wall fence of a house and main road near a construction site in diplomatic area of Bangladesh's capital Dhaka collapsed Tuesday night, police said Wednesday.

The accident happened in a residential area at about 10 p.m. (1600 GMT) Tuesday night.

The owner of the house, who declined to give his name, told Xinhua that Grameen Phone, Bangladesh's leading telecommunication company is building their head office here.

He said long time ago the people living around had given warnings to the company that there were signs of cracking around the construction site, but they did not pay attention to them.

The collapse damaged the gas pipeline and caused gas leakage.

The people living around the construction site already moved out. No casualties are reported so far.
