HONG KONG, March 6 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale rocked Sumatra, Indonesia, at 0555 GMT Tuesday, according to the Hong Kong Observatory.

    The epicenter was initially determined to be 0.5 south latitude,100.5 east longitude, about 50 km north-northeast of Padang.
