BAGHDAD, March 3 (Xinhua) -- Three U.S. soldiers were killed on Saturday when their vehicle passed by a roadside bomb in central Baghdad, the U.S. military said in a statement.
The three U.S. soldiers died later of their wounds suffered from the explosion, the statement said.
The names of the soldiers are being withheld pending notification of next of kin, it added.
At least 3,169 U.S. soldiers have been killed in Iraq since the U.S.-led invasion in March 2003, according to media count based on Pentagon figures.
