KATHMANDU, March 3 (Xinhua) -- Nepal Army (NA) Saturday says it has the same views as Nepali government has of the weapon registration and storage of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) (CPN-M).

The Nepal army has not its own, institutional and authoritative views contrary to the government's views on the registration and storage of the CPN-M's weapons, the press release issued by the Army Directorate of Public Contact says.

However, the statement also reads, "In the present context of everyone's dissatisfaction over this matter, there is no source and condition for the army to be content even it desires."

Some 30,852 soldiers of the CPN-M and their 3,428 weapons have been registered and stored by the United Nations Mission in Nepal on Feb. 17, as per the agreements reached between the Seven-party Alliance and CPN-M in November last year.

Some Nepali government officials said the number of CPN-M soldiers and that of weapons are not in proportion.
