China's stock market bounces back

    NEW YORK, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- Wall Street plunged Tuesday as a heavy sell-off in China's stock markets pushed down the global equity dominos.

    CANBERRA, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- Australian Prime Minister John Howard on Wednesday said there is no need for Australians to panic over the sharp fall of the stock market.

    BEIJING, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- The commission revenue of China's stock brokerage firms may more than double the figure of 2006 to reach 65 billion yuan (around 8.4 billion U.S. dollars) in 2007, according to a research report released Tuesday.
