One killed, 27 others injured in clash in Nepal

    KATHMANDU, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- One student was killed and 27 others were injured Tuesday in a clash between MPRF and CPN in southwest Nepal, local media group's website nepalnews.com reported on Wednesday.

    In Puraina of Banke district, some 360 km southwest of capital Kathmandu, one boy student was killed during the clash between the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN, formerly known as guerrilla) and Madhesi People's Rights Forum (MPRF, also called Madhesi Janadhikar Forum) on Tuesday. Meanwhile, ten activists of the MPRF and 17 members of the CPN were injured in the incident.

    The clash occured when MPRF activists tried to chase away the CPN members who had gone to gather and to bring their supporters to a mass meeting to be held in Nepalgunj city of the country.
