Take "Memoirs of a Geisha" for example. Chinese people aren't proud of Zhang's turn in the Hollywood spotlight because they thought the love story between a Chinese actress and a Japanese actor in the movie full of porn, the article said.
Japanese audiences held a high opinion of Zhang in the role as the geisha, but many Chinese believe Zhang has not clearly distinguished her film characters and her social role.
