BAGHDAD, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- A suicide car bomber Monday rammed into a house in Duluiyah City, some 90 km north of Baghdad, killing at least five people and wounding 15 others, local police source said.
"A suicide car bomber rammed his explosive-laden car into the house of the major Amir Naief al-Khazraji, the commander of the Iraqi National Guards in the City, killing at least five people, including a guard, and wounding 15 others," the source told Xinhuaon condition of anonymity.
He said that all the wounded were transferred immediately to a hospital after the blast.
It was unknown whether al-Khazraji was in the house when the suicide attack occurred.
Duluiyah City has long been a bastion of insurgency against the U.S.-led troops and Iraqi security forces.
Insurgents frequently attack Iraqi security forces, accusing them of collaborating with the U.S. occupation.
