BEIJING, Feb. 14 (Xinhuanet) -- The 911 call made on
the day Anna Nicole Smith died was released Tuesday by the Hollywood Police
department.
Smith was described as a white female who was not
breathing and responsive by the woman from the Seminole Police who made the 911
call.
In the 31-second call, the Seminole tribal police
department asks Hollywood paramedics for help in assisting Smith, who was found
unconscious in her room at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. The police
officials showed up on the scene six minutes after the call was placed.
The call was made after a 911 call was made from the
hotel to the Seminole Police Department seeking medical assistance, Capt. Tony
Rode, a department spokesman. told reporters.
The Seminole Police Department, which typically
passes along all requests for service to the Hollywood Police Department, has
not released that tape.
Howard K. Stern's sister said that Smith had been
running a fever of 105 and was being iced down by a nurse on the day she died.
She says Stern told her he tried to talk Smith into seeing a doctor, but she
refused, according to media reports.
The cause of Smith's death is still being
investigated.
