Special report:Tension escalates in Iraq

    BAGHDAD, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) -- At least four people were killed and 10 others wounded in a suicide car bomb attack in a central Baghdad neighborhood on Saturday, an Interior Ministry source said.

    "A suicide bomber blew up an explosive-laden car near a bakeshop in Karradah neighborhood at about 12:20 (0920 GMT), killing at least four people and wounding 10 others," the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.

    Police said earlier that a car bomb hit an Iraqi army patrol in the Tal Afar town west of Mosul, some 400 km north of Baghdad, damaging an army vehicle and killing one soldier.
