BEIJING, Feb. 8 (Xinhuanet) -- Miss USA Tara Conner appeared to be back on track, as the beleaguered beauty queen was at New York's Jones Beach on Tuesday, doing a photo shoot to promote Donald Trump's 40 million U.S. dollars planned catering hall, Trump on the Ocean.

Conner, in an off-the-shoulder bridal gown, told reporters she was hanging in there, despite the minus 4.4 C degree weather and the chilling winds.

"I'm good," said Conner, modeling off-the-shoulder bridal dresses. "I'm cold, but I'm fine."

The 21-year-old Kentucky native has apparently survived the gauntlet she was forced to run after reports of her excessive partying caused her to almost lose her crown.

Trump, who owns the Miss USA pageant, told Newsday in Wednesday's editions that using Conner as "the face" of Trump on the Ocean will help revamp her image.

"We are trying to get Tara in the mainstream in a positive way," said Trump.

Conner recently completed a stint in an alcohol and drug rehabilitation center. Last month, she admitted she was suffering from "the disease of alcoholism and addiction," and that the disease ran in her family.

"I've felt a lot of shame and guilt for some of the things that I've done in my past. I really had to sit down and have a good, hard look at myself," Conner told the New York Daily News Monday.
