NICOSIA, Feb. 7 (Xinhua) -- Bulgaria clinched their first title in 2007 on
Wednesday evening after thrashing host Cyprus 3-0 to win a four-nation soccer
tournament.
Totteham's star striker Dimitar Berbatov scored two goals, one from a
penalty shot in the very end of the first half.
Blagoy Georgiev robbed the Cyprian team of all hopes in the 68th minute,
when he sent the ball flying in their net after a nice pass by Zoran Yankovich.
Berbatov then wrapped up the result with a second goal of his in the 87th
minute.
On Tuesday, Bulgaria defeated Latvia 2-0, while Cyprus downed Hungary
2-1.
